What DMA's usage requirements?

direct memory access

DMA stands for Direct Memory Access. It is embedded within the Intel CPU low-level embedded framework protocol, allowing hardware devices of varying speeds to communicate freely.

DMA Mechanism:
DMA scans and transfers collected memory data from one address space to another. The scanning and transfer actions themselves are executed and completed by the DMA controller. DMA is legally permitted in computer embedded systems algorithms. Before purchasing and preparing to use the Direct Memory Access Hardware, you should have some preliminary understanding and self-assessment of DMA devices, whether they can meet your work and entertainment needs.

Preparation before purchase:
The device requires two computers (desktop or laptop computers are acceptable).

Recommended specifications for the main machine:
CPU i5 9400F;
DDR4 2133M 16 G memory;
Solid-state hard drive 256G;
Graphics card 1060 6G or higher.
Specific configurations depend on your individual needs.

Secondary machine:
CPU i3 4th generation or higher;
DDR3 1333M8G memory;
Solid-state drive120G
No specific requirements for the secondary machine's independent display output device are mentioned.

COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS FOR USING DMA

DMA  Card development board is plugged into the motherboard of the computer you use to play games. You need your game console to have extra PCIE slots, which can be PCIE X1 X4 X8 X16.

Taking this motherboard as an example, the green slot and DMA use this interface, you can use PCIE X1 X4 X8 X16.

Red is the PCI slot, DMA cannot be used

How to distinguish these two types of slots depends on the fool-proof groove. The fool-proof groove of PCI-E is on the left side, and the slot of PCI is on the right side!

If your motherboard is a small board, plugging in the graphics card will block other PCIE slots. You can buy a PCIE extension cable to solve the problem!

PLUG DMA INTO LAPTOP GAMING COMPUTER

Generally, DMA cards development board sold in the market comes with USB data cable power supply mode. These two devices: M2 NVME connected to PCIE device and PCIE graphics card expansion island, there is no need to consider external power supply.

If the board doesn't have a USB data cable power supply mode, you need to buy an external power supply, because these two devices are not powered by themselves and require external power supply, which is troublesome, and if the power supply is not connected properly, the device will be burned!

To use DMA on a laptop, you first need to be able to virtualize the BIOS and access and protect the DMA.

After confirming that virtualization and DMA internal protection can be turned off, you need to see if your laptop has extra M.2 hard drive slots. You can buy an M2 NVME adapter PCIE device. This device needs to be dismantled. PCIE backplane, and then connect some devices to it. The disadvantage of this kind of equipment is that it is cheap and requires the backplane to be removed.

If your laptop has a Thunderbolt 3/4 interface, you can use a PCIE expansion island and need to buy a Thunderbolt 3/4 data cable:

RADAR/AUXILIARY AIRCRAFT REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements: WIN10 is required, CPU I3 4th generation dual core 4 threads, memory RAM 8G, USB interface 3.0, the CPU can also be AMD.

If you need a fusion device or streaming function, the radar machine needs to have a separate display, 960 level or better, and the graphics card can also be AMD.
